Naturally, a title like this belongs to a movie. This is not an accident, Chin check is a movie in the form of an epic album from the depths of New Cross. The production is unsurprisingly wonderful as it was done by Sonov Bedrock. The attitude behind this album is aggressive yet pertinent in context. Most of the Hip hop that is coming out at the moment is of a more concious level of thought. This is more like the type of album that has come a long way with contribution of few other artists who made an appearence on this work of art. There is a hint of frustration due to the struggle that is the UK music industry. The lyrical content is nothing less than addictive although it is somewhat venomous. I predict that this will be in most hard drives and mp3 players by the end of the summer. This is so due to the authenticity of the message.
