Presto and Lemoy do it again!!

As most of you readers would know, I did a couple of blogs on Lemoy one of which also featured Presto. The best thing about this is that these two artists are from two different parts of the world, I mean litterally! Lemoy is from UK and Presto is from the USA, These guys have grabbed the attention of hiphophead.com This song is about poverty and I can't help but notice the relevance of the song especially during times like this. It is sad that those with the money and power just don't care about thopse without. I have a high level respect for both of these artists since they are addressing an issue that is recognizied world wide!!

Make It Happen's Launch party Sumfink 4 ur Fridays

It has been a long way from the humble beginnings of a group of young men who have come together to create an evening every month that promotes and celebrates development even in the midst of hard times. This achievement has been the combination of  M.I.H. Entertainment (Make It Happen) VIP Entertainment  TFS inc(Twenty Four Seven) and Entertainment Elements (EntelDigimag). It was an evening of extravagance, elegance and good energy. Everyone that attended seemed to be very excited for the arrival of such an evening at the Alchemist Bar in Battersea. The music policy was designed for those who want to let their hair down but not necessarily want forget themselves. This included Funky house, Old Skool Garrage, Hip Hop, R'N'B to name a few. For a new night, the turnout was rather impressive, It shows that everyone involved put in their work to make it a night to remember to come back to. It is refreshing to be able to go to a wine bar listen to an excellent playlist and enjoy the company of your friends and colleagues. The music was playing, the drinks were flowing and it was all smiles all round. Some people had such a great time I wouldn't be surprised if they had a hang over, some propably woke up to some interesting photos as a reminder of what happened the night before. Some of course came home with a story and hoping that next time there will be an even more interesting story to tell! Imagine a relaxed environment with a level of excitement vibrant enough to make you dance and appreciate that good times don't always have to be expensive! Sumfink 4 UR Fridays will be at the Alchemist Bar every last Friday of the month, admission is FREE for ladies before 10:30 and 5 pounds after that Gents 5 pounds before 10:30 and 10 pounds after that. Next one will be on the  29th of June, Expecting an bigger turn out since there definitly will be word of mouth at work.See you there!!

Big Cakes' video for "My Soul"

Im not going to beat about the bush, this tune is just different! Big cakes is that artist who tells it as it is, his lyrics are as potent as the album name says. I was especially moved when he said a special shout out to the free thinkers out there. The music business has been plagued by a market that trades in souls and as a result some artists are doing very well and then you have those who chose not to enter the market at all. Its not surprising how the world turns out, its down to the way one thinks and acts since everything has consecuences. I hope more people appreciate this as much as I do and that more people have their minds opened. The whole album is phenomenal to be honest, another tune I have been playing is "Brothers back in Africa" very honest and opionionated. Most of you readers have probably bought the album and can relate to what I am saying in this Blog. To be Frank I have taken too long to do this but here it is. Blue Cheese is out now and has been for sometime now and if you haven't bought it, why not? I mean seriously, there is a lot of truth to be shared in the album and once again I like the album because there is a very real message to heard in the album. Blue Cheese is out now available on iTunes and  Right here Look out for his forth coming album "CCC"

Just Listen- Patience is my only virtue

Most of the music that gets released in this day and age on a global scale normally takes years of hard work and dedication to the craft. Just Listen is no different, in fact when you listen to his album you realise that he is one of those artists that was meant to have appeared on the scene a long time ago but he took his time. and excercised patience. The tracks on this album are not just heartfelt they are observations and opinions based on  the reality we live in and the various choices we make as travel along the journey called life. Music like this is very rare now and should be treasured, most of what we find on the mainstream is either poisonous or pointless . Either way its not as constructive as what I have found in Patience is my only virtue,
The album has taken the best part of a year to record and produce. The production of Sonov Bedrock is evident as the music seems to have a voice of it's own. Just Listen's lyrical ability leaves most people mistified as he has a message with every bar he graces the microphone with. For underground hip hop this album proves to be a formidable force to give even mainstream artists something to worry about. Personally I think the world is just about ready to hear a British MC with such flavour. My favourite tune on the album has to be "My 1st Love" Its a rhyme about the game of basket ball, I feel I can relate to the song because of the  love I have for the game and the places Just Listen mentions since I have played basket ball at some of the venues. This album also ushers in the arrival of "Them Ones" as seen on "guidance/subtance abuse" Like the avengers they are all great at what they do as individuals and just as great when they get together. I will go into further depth when they relaes their album. Another song that really made me feel something has to be "Sarah's song" a song about his love that he lost, very emotional to say the very least. The best way for you to understand what kind of sentiment I experienced is to listen to the song yourself. Just Listen gives us an insight into how he used to create his music in "Drink smoke write spit" and once again he goes in!! Other songs on the album are too good for words I mean I couild try and describe what I hear and how I feel about the music I heard on the album but I fear that I may not be accurate since everyone has their own oppinion. I showed "darker planet" to a friend via facebook and she loved it, I wouldn't be surprised if it is now on her play list for when she is working out in the gym because of the production and the tempo Just Listen is working with. This album is definitley a must if you love your hip hop and you appreciate music with a real message. patience is my only virtue is available on  Here

Kwamo presents his EP: Green Graz

I know its been a while since I have put up an update, the truth is I have a had a lot of personal issues recently and have decided to push them aside for a minute. I was talking to a friend from California and he had just finished his EP called Green Graz. The Hip hop genre has grown magnificently and this EP is an excellent example of this growth. People are more in tune with making music with substance. From start to finish this EP is  really good, I'm not just saying so because I know who made it but because of the message that is being conveyed. There are many people that can relate to what is being said from track to track, I especially like "basic instinct". The vocals, the lyrics, the instrumental all merging to create a masterpiece. I just hope that this is just a scratch on the surface with more depth and reason to come when Kwamo and O.G. Productions release an album. This is definitely a force to recognize and will be on the airwaves sooner than you think. Green Graz is  available NOW on sound cloud at the link below

The magazine is here!!

It has been a very interesting year since this blog started. There have been a lot of developments including new affiliations being forged and old acquaintances coming back and working  with Entel Digimag. Last month saw the first official release of the magazine and has been read all over the world and has been bringing back some interesting feed back. Naturally it is a work in progress and continues to improve all the time, its a pity that most of the work done concerning the magazine is done by one person. Some people who didn't believe have had a change of heart and those that did have been proud to be there to witness the metamorphosis of this publication. Some people have jumped on board and joined the team without flinching because they could see the potential of the magazine. One of the new affiliates   has been so impressed that they were eager to arrange a launch party for the magazine so that is also in the pipeline. Whats going on in 2012? A lot  to say the least, people from different parts of the world are now involved and we can only develop and progress further. There is no room for stagnation with Entel in fact the next step is to invite e-commerce entrepreneurs to advertise their products and services in the magazine since the readership is constantly growing. Technology has played a major role in the development of this publication and continues to contribute massively. There will be growth in the number of things covered in the magazine since people have demanded certain things to be in the magazine.

The Masterz LP by Sonov Bedrock

Am I satisfied with the result? The best response I can think of is "Yes Man!!" The reason I say so is because there is not a lot of albums out there where a group of individuals come together to produce a hip hop work of art such as The Masterz. The Artists include OphQui, SlimStar, Just Listen, Father Aches, Turn'a Pound, Young Dev and Trubbz. Its amazing how long its been since the last time I saw such an all star cast on one album. Every MC on here has earned their credibility in their own right over an extended period of time. Speaking nothing more than truth whether with anger or swagger the message still travels through the music. This has to be one of the best if not the best hip hop collaboration album out right now! In fact, the hype developing around this album should come as no surprise. Realness and authenticity personified by the artists and a display of an array of creativity from the producer. Its available now at http://sonovbedrock.bandcamp.com/album/the-masterz
